With all the fuss and hype on the internet about Revitol, we simply had to get some of their stretch mark treatment to our team for testing to see what all the fuss is about, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint.

Revitol uses the triple-whammy attack on stretch marks with the active ingredients Squalene Oil, Vitamin E, and DL-Panthenol. Revitol is all natural, and also contains a plethora of natural skin care ingredients, it feels simply beautiful when putting it on, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and smooth.

Our tests found Revitol to be very effective on reducing the appearance of stretch marks on nearly all our girls who tested it. Our three pregnant ladies all loved Revitol, and gave it top marks for stretch mark prevention, especially in that danger zone under the belly-button.

Our very close second place finalist was TriLastin. Another heavily hyped product and recently featured on The Tyra Banks Show, our team found TriLastin to live up to its reputation.

TriLastin reports to be formulated by Bio-Engineers, and contains the proven ingredients Hydrolyzed Collagen and Elastin. Our team was very impressed by this treatment, especially it’s effect on the appearance of old stretch marks. Two of our girls reported stretch marks reducing dramatically after just three weeks of treatment.

TriLASTIN works extremely effectively in reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Our ladies and our male tester all reported stretch marks fading in record time. The application is easy and feels lovely on the skin, and is quite soothing on new, red stretch marks.

As a preventative TriLastin didn’t perform quite as well, with about half our testers reporting positive results. This is still an excellent response, but just not quite up to the standard of our number one product. With all that said, we had several ladies who much preferred TriLastin over all the other treatments, so it is definitely still a highly recommended treatment.

Stretta is a stretch mark treatment that takes a slightly different approach to most of the others we’ve tested. It uses a three step removal process that involves first exfoliating the skin, then encouraging the production of collagen to stimulate the body’s natural skin repair cycle, and finally using a natural soothing agent, containing vitamin E and Aloe Vera, to nourish and hydrate the skin.

Our results using Stretta were varied, with some reporting decent results and others reporting no change at all. This is another product that doesn’t include a preventative measure, and so our pregnant testers were not impressed by Stretta. One across the board positive result was our testers loved the feel of this product and said after application the skin felt beautiful, smooth and hydrated.

In conclusion, Stretta is still a good product that worked very well for some of our girls, and not so well for others. With no consistency in our results it’s hard to give a strong recommendation for Stretta, but it can be effective and might be worth a shot if you’ve had no luck with other treatments.

Widely heralded as a ‘Botox alternative’ in the press, Promaxyl is another product that claims to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Promaxyl is an ‘all-in-wonder’ product that proports to reduce the signs of aging, skin discoloration, sagging and stretch marks.

Promaxyl uses the Matrixyl™ complex, a protein polypeptide compound recognized regenerative properties, that has shown success in treating stretch marks.

Our team initially loved Promaxyl, and were very happy with the speed in which it started to show results on older stretch marks, with most testers seeing a difference after only a couple of weeks of twice-daily use.

Promaxyl lost some marks when most of our ladies found that after a period of time, it seemed to reach a ‘ceiling’ of effectiveness, and the stretch marks didn’t seem to improve any more, despite weeks of further treatment. It also does not work as a preventative, and so our pregnant girls were fairly unimpressed with Promaxyl.

Promaxyl is a product that falls into the ‘maybe’ pile. . It may be worth a try for anyone who has lighter or smaller stretch marks, or who is looking for a more versatile treatment that can work as an anti-aging or overall skin care treatment.
